Activity

Awareness of Vision Health

Maintaining good vision is essential, yet in rural tribal areas of Tukum, a lack of education and awareness often jeopardizes eye health. The Akshayjyot Foundation in Chandrapur is dedicated to improving eye health in these communities. We conduct annual visits to over 100 villages, raising awareness about the importance of eye care. Through these outreach programs, we educate individuals on maintaining good vision and share practical tips to enhance their overall well-being.

Activity

Eye Check Camp

We organize regular eye check-up camps, personally overseen by our president, a seasoned optometrist. To ensure comprehensive care, we collaborate with other optometrists and ophthalmologists who offer consultations, referrals to government hospitals, and prescribed medications. Additionally, we distribute custom-fitted spectacles based on each patient’s specific vision needs. These initiatives ensure that individuals in rural tribal areas receive the eye care they deserve, improving their vision health and overall quality of life.

Activity

Akshayjyot Eye Care and Optical

Led by our president, Akshayjyot Eye Care and Optical offers free consultations to the rural tribal community in Tukum, Maharashtra. Our primary goal is to provide eye care at no cost and improve vision for individuals in these underserved areas. By offering expert consultations, eye health education, and affordable solutions, we aim to enhance the community’s overall well-being and improve their quality of life through better vision.

Activity

School Visit and Awareness

We believe that educating young people about vision health early on fosters self-awareness and empowers them to spread knowledge within their communities. To achieve this, we conduct school visits to raise awareness among students, teaching them the importance of maintaining good eye health. Through practical tips and discussions about the impact of various habits on vision, we aim to ensure long-term eye health and encourage lifelong practices that support better vision for future generations.
